ABOUT BANKATTA
Step back in time to this quiet village – where kulos still irrigate the fields, houses are still made from bamboo & mud, gaadas are still a mode of transport, the air is clean and fresh, the night sky free of light pollution and there’s plenty of beautiful sunsets.
Located in the Southern belt of Nepal, Bankatta lies in the Madi Valley, surrounded by the Chitwan National Park on three sides. The only way in is through the dense jungle of the national park, full of Saal trees and wildlife. The village is home to the largest Bot community in Nepal and is set to become the first in the valley to embrace ecologically sensitive community-based tourism. Discover Bankatta with us through Madi Eco-village.
